Description
This was a standard circulation penny in pre decimal times, 240 of them make up a pound, 12 for a shilling.
1903 dated coins can come with an 'open 3', the bottom of the '3' will appear more flat, the normal '3' should curl up close to the center of the number.
1905 dated coins can come with a different style '9', one variant is the long tailed and the other is the short tailed, the rims of the coin are also thicker and thinner retrospectively.
1912 dated coins can come in a 'low tide' variant, the sea level will be below where the legs cross, where as the normal level is where the legs cross.
