Description
This coin marks the 50th anniversary of the Normandy Invasion, it was released for circulation as well as in the annual coin sets for 1994 and individually.
The coin is of the larger 50 pence type and is now demonetized, the design was re-stuck in 2009 for the 40th Anniversary of the 50p set and again in 2019 for the British Military set, using the 4th and 5th portraits of Queen Elizabeth II.
