Description
This coin celebrates one of the words most significant contributors to immunology, Edward Jenner. The coin is dated 2023 and marks the 200th anniversary of Edward Jenner's death.
The reverse design on this coin is based around the smallpox vaccine which Jenner's work helped to develop and ultimately eradicate the smallpox virus in October 1977.
This coin was also struck in silver, gold and piedfort editions.
